In winter, Scotland’s hills become mountains. The challenge is greater with snow underfoot, shorter daylight and all that the winter weather has to offer. But of course as a result the rewards are higher, and those crisp, clear blue days are memorably stunning.

We can help summer hillwalkers make the progression to winter, and develop and consolidate the skills of established winter ‘apprentices’. We offer:

• guided Winter Mountaineering days on non-technical terrain where the emphasis is on winter summits, and 
• Winter Skills courses where the emphasis is on learning ice axe and crampon techniques, winter navigation, and safe travel.
